THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN STOCKTON.

SUMMARY

Provides general direction to the parts department employees by performing the following duties.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide supervision for store’s inventory including parts orders, warehouse and distribution.

Initiate and receives phone calls from customers (internal or external customers).

Resolve customer complaints.

Maintain acceptable levels of customer satisfaction.

Work with parts orders and sales.

Responsible for inventory cycle counts, plus monitoring inventory levels and turns.

Work with service manager on parts availability and stocking levels.

Interact with vendors on orders, backorders, returns and special orders.

Visit fleet customers to determine parts needs.

Responsible for accurate parts information on computer or in parts books.

Research parts information for customer using published materials or through other vendors.

Assist with the shipping and receiving counter.

Develop and implement parts marketing strategies.

Assist with promotional events (such as tire blitz).

Maintain cleanliness of parts area.

Support safety initiatives.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Assist in the supervision the parts department and responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to speak effectively on the telephone, to customers and fellow employees.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurements, volume and distance.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Strong leadership skills

Knowledge of earthmoving equipment parts

Inventory management experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid clean California driver license and have a Forklift Operator Safety Certificate.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

COMPENSATION

Pay Range: $70,000 - $85,000 Annually

Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability.

Monthly salary, excellent company-paid benefits, company paid life insurance and profit sharing plan, and 401(k). Paid vacation and holidays.
